And so it begins…

Thursday Night Lights
It’s been said that LED Lights cast an orange glow on their surroundings. So I decided to run a test to determine whether this is indeed a property of LED lighting. The result is illustrated below:
As can be seen above, Incandescent Lighting does not have the “orange effect.”
So I guess the question is “Would you mind looking a bit “orange” in order to lower your energy costs?”
9/11+ 18
It’s been 6,574 days since I watched the Pentagon burning through the office window – two wars and billions of “borrowed†dollars gone down the rabbit hole – Al Qaeda, Taliban, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Arab Spring, NSA, ISIS, Syria, Iran. The more things change the more they stay the same.
75 Years Ago Today
Today marks the 75th anniversary of D-Day, the beginning of what General Eisehower called the “Great Crusade.” This was a time when all Americans – left, right, center or otherwise pulled together to achieve a common goal. Today, we find ourselves divided and not willing to work together to leave a better world for our children and their children. Some of us are fond of embracing slogans such as “Make America Great Again” while others contend that we never were that great, or that we’re already great. The truth no doubt lies somewhere in the middle. Maybe we should instead all work together to “Make America Better Than Ever.”
3730 Days
Just like last year, better late than never. My bionic left hip was 3,672 days (10 years) old on 29 March 2019. Today, on its 3,730th day of service, it has yet to rip, bust, collect dust, roll downhill, or unravel.
The Shorty
Miss Piggy (aka Piggy), our Jack Russell Shorty went to live in Doggie Heaven on 23 April 2019.
Piggy moved in with us and her late stepbrother Gunston in November 2004. She was a typical Jack Russell – full of energy and ready to chase her beloved tennis balls as long as one was willing to throw them. she was not a hunter like Gunston. But she was always willing to join in to help chase those pesky squirrels.
She will be sorely missed by all.
