Bikers galore
Left work at 0200 and back there again at 0900. So much for the three day Memorial Day weekend. And work has really been restricting the time I have to work on the web site. But, hopefully, I’ll have a bit more free time in a couple of weeks when the project I’m currently working on starts to slow down a bit.
I live in the Washington, DC area and there are lots of bikers in town for the annual “Rolling Thunder” motocycle ride to the Vietnam War Memorial. Quite an impressive site!
A Palm PDA…
Its “Super Bowl” Sunday and its snowing here again. Looks like its going to be a lot. Its been coming down for about an hour and there’s already over an inch of new snow — and I just got the driveway and sidewalk cleared from the last snowfall yesterday! What else is new? Lets see…I am now the proud owner of a Palm IIIx Organizer…I finally got tired of losing all those little scraps of paper with, names, telephone numbers, meeting times, etc. Don’t know if this will all work out, but its worth a try (as long as I don’t lose the Palm IIIx or run out of AAA batteries. 🙂
Of Rock and Roll…
Well, Y2K has come and gone…and everthing still appears to be functioning as usual. And, today is Elvis Presley’s birthday, so there will be much of his music in the air around here.
Turn of the Century…
This is probably the last entry for this century unless I remember to do another one in the next 20 days. So, I guess I should think of something special to write here. How about this? Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Back to the land of the white barbeque sauce…
Guess I should make at least one more entry before the Year 2000, so here it is! Since I last wrote anything here, I’ve been to Milan, Italy, Vienna and Salzburg in Austria, and Birmingham, Alabama. And, I’m going back to Alabama next week. This time I’ll be in Huntsville.
Other than the travel, there’s not much new to talk about. I’ve made a number of cosmetic changes to the web site using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and have found that MS Internet Explorer copes with CSS much better than Netscape. Too bad, I remember when Netscape was “the browser” and MSIE was a poor second choice!
