Not really, we just like the name…
As of today my bionic right hip has been in service for 3,287 days. It was placed in service on 07 November 2012.
As of 19 April 2021, my left bionic hip has been in continuous service for 4,044 days (12.07 years); my right bionic hip has been in continuous service for 3,085 days (8.45 years). During recent trips to the orthopedist and a few x-rays later, I got the good news that they are aging gracefully. Unfortunately, my arthritic knees are not!
My bionic right hip is 2556 days old today. I had the hip replacement surgery on 7 November 2012, which was the day after that year’s presidential election.
Just like last year, better late than never. My bionic left hip was 3,672 days (10 years) old on 29 March 2019. Today, on its 3,730th day of service, it has yet to rip, bust, collect dust, roll downhill, or unravel.
Happy Belated Birthday to my bionic right hip. As of today, it has completed 2,255 days of continuous service. It was six years old on 7 November 2018.
